Winthrop Historical Society’s new 2015 Winthrop Town Calendar has been dedicated to the late Marion Healey because of her lifelong support of her community, according to a news release.
Healey served a total of 40 years, from 1958 to 1998, as treasurer/manager of the Mill Workers Credit Union, now the Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union. In her honor the new credit union building bears her name. Marion passed away in 2013.
The calendars are available at these local businesses: Annabessacook Farm, Apple Valley Books, Audette’s Hardware, Charles M. Bailey Library, Dave’s Appliance, Full Court Deli, Kennebec Savings Bank, Thomas Agency, Winthrop Federal Credit Union and Winthrop Fuel.
The calendars cost $6 each. Proceeds will help the historical society preserve and display town history.
