MADISON — Dani Sweet and Nicole Pelletier each scored 14 points to lead Hall-Dale past Madison 57-55 in overtime of a Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball game Tuesday.
Kayla Johnson added 11 points for Hall-Dale (3-3), which outscored Madison (4-3) 34-25 in the second half and overtime.
Madison was led by Kayla Bess and Aly LeBlanc with 16 points apiece.
MONMOUTH 41, ST. DOMINIC 34: Sidney Wilson scored 20 points to lead the Mustangs to the MVC win.
Abbey Allen added eight points for Monmouth (4-2).
St. Dominic (1-4) was led by Allie Veinote with 13 points and Faith Grady with 10.
BOYS BASKETBALL
LAWRENCE 57, MT. BLUE 45: After a few near-misses, Lawrence picked up its first win of the season in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A action.
Lawrence, which has lost two games by two points this season, outscored the Cougars 25-14 in the fourth quarter. Seth Powers scored a game-high 18 points for the Bulldogs (1-5).
Mason Cooper added 15 points and JT Nutting scored 12 for Lawrence. Mt. Blue (1-5) was led by Zack Mittlestadt, with 12 points.
VALLEY 75, GREENVILLE 30: Colin Miller scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to the East/West Conference win in Greenville.
Cody Laweryson had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Valley (5-1). Cale Beane added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Nick Foley scored 21 points for Greenville (3-3).
GARDINER 64, WATERVILLE 49: Seth McFarland scored 18 points and collected 10 rebounds to lead Gardiner to a road win Friday at Waterville.
Jordan Lamb added 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Tigers (5-1), while Brad Weston chipped in with 16 points and seven boards. Justin Kornsey led the Purple Panthers (0-6) with a career-high 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting, while Demetrius Ramirez added 10 points.
