NORTH ANSON — The Carrabec girls basketball team got back to .500 with a 74-26 rout of Telstar.

Emma Pluntke led the way for the Cobras (3-3) — who outscored the Rebels 21-1 in the first quarter — with 18 points, Stephanie Cossaboom added 12 and Mickayla Willette finished with 11.

Becca Howard recorded 18 of Telstar’s (0-6) 26 points.

TELSTAR 51, CARRABEC 45: The Rebels outscored the Cobras 14-8 in the final quarter and that proved to be the difference in North Anson.

Blake Rothwell and Jarrett Bean paced Telstar (4-6) with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Dustin Crawford finished with 12 points for Carrabec (0-6), while Isaac Vaillancourt chipped in with nine.

COAST GUARD 67, COLBY 65: Carylanne Wolfington, a graduate of Hall-Dale High School, finished with a game-high 25 points but it was not enough as the Mules suffered a two-point loss to the Bears at Embry-Riddle University in Dayton Beach, Fla.

Wolfington — who also finished with eight rebounds — had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but her 3-point attempt was off the mark.

Caitlyn Nolan finished with 14 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists for Colby (8-2), while Brooke Chandor and Cony grad Mia Diplock both had eight points.
