WALES — Oak Hill’s Dalton Therrien drilled a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Oak Hill a dramatic 60-59 victory over Wiscasset in Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball action Tuesday night.

With Oak Hill trailing 59-57, Therrien stole the ball with five seconds remaining. After the Raiders called timeout, Therrien’s three beat the buzzer.

Therrien scored a game-high 25 points for Oak Hill (2-5). Jonah Martin added 11 points and Connor Elwell pitched in with 10. The Raiders trailed 42-36 entering the fourth quarter.

Brandon Sprague scored 24 points and Nate Woodman had 10 for Wiscasset (2-5).

MEDOMAK VALLEY 69, GARDINER 64: The Panthers outscored the Tigers 31-15 in the third quarter on its way to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win in Waldoboro.

Brad Weston had a game-high 24 points and added 12 rebounds and four steals for Gardiner (6-2). Seth McFarland scored 18 points for the Tigers.

Medomak (7-1) was led by Micah Williamson with 20 points and Colton Spear with 15.

MONMOUTH 69, MT. ABRAM 48: Kasey Smith scored a game-high 22 points to lead the host Mustangs to the MVC win.

Hunter Richardson added 14 points for Monmouth (5-3) while Tyler Gosselin had 11 points.

Mt. Abram (2-6) was led by Quinton Hanna with 17 points and Tristen Dyer with 10.

MESSALONSKEE 64, SKOWHEGAN 29: Nick Mayo poured in 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists as the Eagles won the KVAC A game in Oakland.

Taylor Turner added 15 points for Messalonskee (4-4), Jack Bernatchez finished with six points and six rebounds and Sawyer Michaud chipped in with seven assists.

Issac Witham led Skowhegan (2-5) with 19 points.

WINSLOW 73, ERSKINE 26: Justin Martin had 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the host Black Raiders to the KVAC B win.

Nason Lanphier scored a game-high 26 points and six assists for Winslow (8-0) while Colby Robertson was also in double figures with 10 points.

Erskine (0-8) was led by Trever Browne with eight points.

MONMOUTH 45, MT. ABRAM 23: Maddie Amero scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Mustangs to the MVC win in Monmouth.

Sidney Wilson added eight points, five steals and five assists for Monmouth (5-2), while Abbey Allen chipped in with six points.

Olivia Ryan was the lone Mt. Abram (0-6) player in double figures with 10 points.

RICHMOND 33, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 17: Sydney Tilton had 14 points, six rebounds and seven steals to lead the Bobcats to the Class D win in South Berwick.

Kelsea Anair added four points, four assists and five rebounds for Richmond (5-1).

Kylene DeSmith led Seacoast Christian (2-5) with nine points.

WINSLOW 57, ERSKINE 34: The Black Raiders used an 18-4 run in the second quarter to pull away for a 23-point victory in South China.

Devin Fitzgibbons and Hannah Doble scored 14 and 11 points, respectively, for Winslow (6-2).

Malorie Weaver led Erskine (1-7) with nine points.

MARANACOOK 54, OCEANSIDE 33: After trailing by one at the half, the Black Bears caught fire in the second to pull away for the win in Rockland.

Sarah Clough had a game-high 20 points for Maranacook (7-1), Christine Miller chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Catherine Sanborn added 11 points and five assists.

Emily Gould had 11 points for Oceanside (5-2), while Makenna Brooks finished with nine.

BOYS HOCKEY

 

BRUNSWICK 9, CONY/MONMOUTH 6: The Dragons got eight of their nine goals from their top line as Brunswick (5-1-0) held off the Rams for a win at the Bank of Maine Ice Vault.

Jacob McGowan led the way for the Dragons with three goals and five assists, T.J. Sullivan added two goals and three assists and Jared Parent finished with a hat trick.

Cody Pelletier scored a pair of goals for Cony/Monmouth (1-4-0), while Nate Foye, Tyler Curtis, Spencer Buck and Drew Keithley also scored goals for the Rams.
