It is truly a sad day when the spirit of our most popular holiday is dampened by the acts of the “anti” few. I am referring to the abuse a furniture store receiving for its holiday display.

There are many places in this world where choice, belief and expression are not tolerated. I am sure there are millions of those people who live in those places who would gladly trade places with the “anti” few who always have something to whine about.

This is the season for family, friends and sharing. For some, it is just another opportunity to complain.

I for one will make a special trip to Bangor with that store as my destination. With any luck, many more will follow.

By the time this letter makes print, the proprietors of this establishment will have realized that Santa is alive and well.
