KITTERY — Two New Hampshire residents have been arrested in heroin trafficking charges, including a man police say may be responsible for two recent overdoses.

Police say 29-year-old Jeffery Ansello and 44-year-old Angela Whiting, both of North Hampton, New Hampshire, were arrested Saturday in Kittery at a convenience store on U.S. Route 1.

Investigators said the suspects also had two grams of heroin on them.

Police said Ansello is a suspect in at least two recent overdoses. Chief Theodor Short says neither overdose was fatal.

Both are being held at the York County Jail on $2,500 bail. It could not be determined if they had lawyers.
