BRUNSWICK — Down five points with four minutes to play, the Messalonskee boys basketball team came back to beat Brunswick 52-48 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Brunswick on Thursday.

Nick Mayo led the Eagles (7-4) with 20 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. Taylor Turner added 13 points for Messalonskee.

Alex Bandouveres led Brunswick (4-6) with 14 points.

TEMPLE 47, GOULD 37: Bradley Smith scored 22 points and Parick Blaisdell added 15 to lead Temple.

Joseph Rossignol chipped in with five points for the victors as well.

Keegan Gaouette scored 17 points to lead Gould.

HYDE 47, VALLEY 30: Kiefer Cundy scored 11 points to lead the Phoenix to the Class D win in Bath.

Noah Horning and Andrew Palermo each scored 10 points for Hyde (5-1), which led 14-2 after one quarter.

Colin Miller led Valley (6-3) with 13 points.

LEWISTON 64, LAWRENCE 53: Isaiah Harris scored 17 points and ce Curry added 10 points to lead the Blue Devils to the KVAC A win in Fairfield. Ace Curry chipped in with 10 points for Lewiston (6-4) as well.

Seth Powers scored 18 points and Dustin Simpson-Bragg added 13 to lead Lawrence (2-8). Cole Robinson finished with eight points.

HYDE 34, VALLEY 26: Diamond Brown and Lilli Allen both scored 12 points to lead the Phoenix past the Cavaliers in Bath.

Timesha Walker added six points for Hyde (5-0).

Hallie Miller scored 10 points for Valley (4-6).

HALL-DALE 39, MT. ABRAM 21: Thea Sweet scored 12 points and Hall-Dale parlayed an early big lead into a Mountain Valley Conference victory in Salem.

Nicole Pelletier scored eight points and Maddie Hallowell added six for the Bulldogs (6-3).

Olivia Ryan scored 16 points to lead the Roadrunners (1-9).

LAWRENCE 64, LEWISTON 46: Dominique Lewis scored 22 points, including six 3-pointers, and Nia Irving added 17 points to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC A girls in Lewiston.

Abby Weigang finished with 11 points and 16 rebounds as well for the Bulldogs (10-0).

Kristina Blais scored 19 points and Amanda Stewart added seven to lead Lewiston (1-9).

OAK HILL 44, MADISON 30: Grace Sabine and Bri Mulherin each scored nine points to lead the Raiders to a win over the Bulldogs in Wales.

Meagan Crosby added eight points for Oak Hill (8-1).

Kayla Bess and Madeline Wood each scored nine points for Madison.
