MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Sam Willson scored 26 points and Luke Westman added 17 to lead the Colby men’s basketball team to an 82-80 victory over Wesleyan in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game Friday night.

Connor O’Neil scored 12 points for the Mules (8-5, 1-0 in NESCAC), who rallied from a 44-37 halftime deficit.

Chris Hudnut had eight rebounds for Colby as well.

Joseph Kuo scored 19 points to lead Wesleyan (10-3, 0-1).

THOMAS 95, NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 64: Levi Barnes scored 25 points and Adam Carlsen added 23 to help the Terriers roll to the NAC win in Waterville.

Joel Demadet scored 15 points to lead NEC (6-6-, 3-2).

COLBY-SAWYER 72, UMF 55: Zach Bean scored 16 points and Wol Majong added 14 to lead Colby-Sawyer (7-3, 5-0) to the NAC victory at Dearborn Gym in Farmington. Eric Westbrooks finished with 16 points and eight rebounds for Thomas (5-7, 3-2) as well.

Mt. Blue grad Nick Hilton scored 14 points to lead UMF (3-8, 2-3).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

COLBY 76, WESLEYAN 54: Mia Diplock scored 20 points and Caitlyn Nolan added 15 to lead the Mules to the NESCAC victory in Waterville.

Brooke Chandor scored 12 points for Colby (10-2, 1-0 NESCAC) while MaryKate Caverly added eight.

Danielle Gervacio scored 12 points to lead Wesleyan (5-6, 0-1).

COLBY-SAWYER 74, UMF 45: Kelsey Cahill scored 16 points and Lexi Iannoni added 15 to lead Colby-Sawyer to the North Atlantic Conference victory in Farmington.

Cahill also had 11 rebounds and four steals for Colby-Sawyer (6-5, 3-2 in NAC).

Lindsay Ranquist scored nine points to lead the Beavers (4-7, 4-1).

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 80, THOMAS 45: Taylor Burgess finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and six steals to lead NEC to the NAC victory. Kayla Lawlor scored 15 points for NEC (9-2, 4-1) as well. Katie McAllister scored nine points to lead the Terriers (1-0, 0-5).

MEN’S HOCKEY

UMASS 3, MAINE 2: Shane Walsh scored two goals and assisted on another as the Minutemen rallied past the Black Bears at the Mullins Center in Amherst, Mass.

Freshman Henry Dill had 35 saves for UMass (6-14-0).

Dan Renouf and Conor Riley scored for Maine (6-14-0).

AMHERST 5, COLBY 1: Aaron Deutsch scored two goals to lead the Lord Jeffs to the NESCAC victory.

Danny Vitale stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced for Amherst.

Phil Klitirinos scored the lone goal for Colby.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

AMHERST 3, COLBY 1: Erin Martin scored two goals and Caitlyn Ryan added another to lead Amherst to the NESCAC victory.

Megan Fortier scored the lone goal for Colby (5-5-0) while Angelica Crites had 24 saves.
