LIMA, Ohio — Authorities in Ohio are monitoring the air around an oil refinery where an explosion and fire broke windows in neighboring homes.

Police in Lima say the blast at the Husky Lima Refinery was felt at least 10 miles away Saturday morning, but no one was hurt and all of the workers have been accounted for.

The state’s Environmental Protection Agency says tests of the air haven’t detected anything hazardous so far.

The fire is still burning at the plant, more than five hours after the explosion in a processing unit at the refinery.

Lima police Sgt. Andy Green says they don’t believe the fire is a danger to anyone living near the plant. He says the explosion was felt throughout the city and in towns up to 10 miles away.
