WALES — Down 11 points to start the fourth quarter, Bri Mulherin made seven free throws, Jamie Prue hit five and Grace Sabine scored five points to lead a comeback and Oak Hill defeated Carrabec 41-35 in Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball action Saturday.

Mulherin finished with 12 points for Oak Hill (9-1) while Prue had 10 and Sabine seven points and six rebounds.

Carrabec (5-6) was led by Emma Pluntke with 10 points and Mickayla Willette with eight.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MESSALONSKEE 55, LAWRENCE 37: Nick Mayo scored 25 points to lead the Eagles to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Fairfield.

Nate Violette scored nine points for Messalonksee (8-4).

Mason Cooper and Dustin Simpson-Bragg each scored nine points for Lawrence (2-9).

CARRABEC 45, OAK HILL 43: The Cobras outscored the Raiders 22-17 in the second half to pull away for their first win of the season in MVC action in Wales.

Dustin Crawford scored 13 points to lead Carrabec (1-9) while William Crawford added 11.

Oak Hill (2-9) was led by Dalton Therrien with 20 points and Evan Boston with eight.
