A 2003 Jeep Liberty being driven on North Clary Road by a 58-year-old Damariscotta woman slid out of control on ice and went off the left side road of the road, where it hit a utility pole.

Jan. 14, a 2005 Buick LeSabre being driven by a 53-year-old Jefferson woman turned from North Clary Road onto Gardiner Road and into the path of a 1988 GMC Sierra pickup truck being driven on Gardiner Road by a 49-year-old Warren woman. The vehicles collided. The Jefferson woman said she did not see the pickup truck because of sun glare.

Jan. 12, police responded to Manning Drive because of a 911 hang-up call during which a male and female were heard arguing. Both were calm when police arrived and claimed the 911 call was an accident. Both claimed no assault had taken place.

Saturday a 22-year-old Massachusetts man was charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the northbound lanes of Interstate 295.

WHITEFIELD

Monday a 2002 Ford F-250 pickup truck being driven by a 20-year-old Pittston man pulled onto East River Road from the Treble Ridge Farm driveway and into the path of a 2011 Ford F-550 truck that was being driven north on East River Road by a 51-year-old Readfield man. The trucks collided. The Pittston man said he failed to notice the other truck.

Friday, April Dupont, 34, was arrested on two warrants at her home.

GARDINER

Friday, two people were arrested during a traffic stop for a vehicle defect. Meredith Prugh, 33, and Michael Bowden, 32, were each charged with violating conditions of release. Prugh, who was driving, also was charged with sale and use of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of possession of schedule W drugs.

Saturday at 2:51 a.m., Zakkery Ryan Garfield, 22, of Gardiner, was arrested on Plummer Street on a charge of theft.

Monday at 5:51 p.m., Rodney Joseph Strout, 35, of Chelsea, was arrested on Mechanic Street on a charge of violating conditions of release.
