10:04 p.m., firefighters responded to State Street after a mop bucket caught fire inside a kitchen. Firefighters helped a woman evacuate the building while they doused the fire and cleared the building of smoke. The fire destroyed the mop and the bucket and damaged a small section of the floor. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Tuesday at 12:35 a.m., firefighters investigated a smoke complaint on Gage Street.

12:44 a.m., there was a report of disorderly conduct on Mount Vernon Avenue.

3:30 a.m., a 40-year-old Thomaston man was charged with theft on Union Street.

6:55 a.m., there was an accident at the intersection of Gage Street and Memorial Drive.

7:01 a.m., there was an accident at the intersection of Western Avenue and Armory Street.

Thursday, a 1999 Honda Civic being driven east on Rockland Road by a 63-year-old Augusta man left the road and rolled over when the driver swerved to the left to avoid a vehicle in his lane.

Jan. 26 a 2007 Mazda being driven south on Heath Road by a 21-year-old Albion man slid on snow across the Route 218 intersection and hit a utility pole.

Sunday at 6:13 p.m., there was an accident on U.S. Route 202.

Monday at 12:44 p.m., there was a report of property damage on Winada Drive.

ARRESTS

AUGUSTA

Monday at 3:35 p.m., Ashley A. Grazioso, 23, of Augusta, was arrested on a probation hold by police responding to a counterfeiting complaint on Mount Vernon Avenue.

CHINA

Jan. 27 Dwayne B. Bates, 25, of Windsor, was arrested on charges of violating a protection order and violating conditions of release on Dirigo Road.
