RICHMOND — Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Brawn celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 3 at White Flour Catering in Augusta. The party was attended by family and friends.

Ellwood Brawn and the former Frances Tome were married Jan. 2, 1965, in Topsham.

Mrs Brawn was employed by Etonic Shoe and Richmond Contract Manufacturing, and Mr. Brawn was employed for 40 years by Bath Iron Works.

They have two children, Michael Brawn, and his wife, Christine, of Augusta, and Cathy (Brawn) Kennard, and her husband, William Kennard, of Oakland; and four grandchildren, Christopher Brawn, 24, Stephanie Brawn, 20, Emma Kennard, 14, and Megan Kennard, 8.

Ellwood and Frances both are retired. They enjoy fishing, hunting, rug hooking and casino trips. They especially enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
