Because of the Move More Kids program, funded by a New Balance Foundation grant and administrated by Somerset Public Health, L.C. Bates Museum has acquired 12 pairs of snow shoes. Both adult and child sizes are available. The snowshoes can be checked out at no cost from the museum to use on the trails for a family hike, or to join a museum Track Tromp or walk and use the snowshoes while exploring nature along the trails. To reserve snowshoes for a walk, call the museum.
