Somerset Woods Trustees’ director Joe Dembeck will lead a snowshoe walk from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, on the Philbrick Trails in Skowhegan.

A mile-long walk is planned on bluffs overlooking the Kennebec.

Philbrick Trails, owned by Somerset Woods Trustees and maintained by the Skowhegan Recreation Center, provide a refuge in the midst of a busy village center, according to a news release from the trustees. In winter, local residents cross-country ski, snowshoe and dog walk on the crisscrossing loops among the hemlocks.

Meet at 10 a.m. at the parking lot at the end of Joyce Street near the Water Treatment plant in Skowhegan, and dress warmly.
