Mainers without health insurance still have a few days to find coverage on the Health Insurance Marketplace at www.Healthcare.gov.

Open enrollment ends Feb. 15. That means now is the time to sign up or, for those who signed up last year, to re-enroll.

If people have Medicare, MaineCare, Tricare, VA health benefits or have health insurance through their place of work, they are already covered. People who don’t have insurance or think they might be paying too much should take a look at their options.

Mainers have more choices this year, and financial help is available for many. Last year, nine out of every 10 Mainers who signed up on the marketplace got financial help. Nearly 80 percent of people who shop for insurance on the marketplace can get a plan for $100 per month or less.

Those without health insurance may have to pay a fine.

To enroll, visit www.Healthcare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596 by the Feb. 15 deadline. People who have questions or need help can call Consumers for Affordable Health Care, an Augusta-based nonprofit, at 1-800-965-7476 or visit www.enroll207.com.
