Everyone loves dogs, and we all have our favorites. To waste time and taxpayer dollars on L.D. 107 goes so far beyond ridiculous; it’s not the least bit funny or cute. Naming a state dessert was equally as wasteful and time-consuming. I was told the cost to produce a bill of typical length and complexity begins at $375, not including committee work, chamber work, drafting, production work and more.
Enough with this silliness. There are far more important issues to focus on.
The Humane Society could put that money to far better use caring for all the dogs, cats and other creatures in need.
