AUGUSTA, Ga. — Sam Balzano was 2 for 4 at the plate for the University of Maine baseball team in their 10-1 loss to Clemson on Friday.
Maine’s lone run came in the fourth inning. Scott Heath smacked a double and was plated on an RBI single by Luke Merrill.
Starter Jake Marks lasted four innings on the mound for the Black Bears (1-4).
Tyler Krieger had two doubles for the Tigers (2-2).
