GARDINER — Police have made an arrest in a pharmacy robbery in Gardiner.

Police say 21-year-old Rudger Ellis of Gardiner was arrested at his home Friday evening.

Authorities believe he robbed the Rite Aid pharmacy on Wednesday, demanding a narcotic substance from the pharmacist and then fleeing the store with the drug.

Ellis was being held at the Kennebec County jail on $10,000 bail. It was not immediately known if he is being represented by an attorney.
