BOSTON — Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger will miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in his left foot.

The team made the announcement on Sunday.

Sullinger was sent back to Boston on Thursday to have his foot examined. Doctors diagnosed him with a metatarsal stress fracture.

Sullinger is the leading scorer and rebounder on the Celtics this season, with 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He is in his third season with Boston since being selected from Ohio State in the first round of the 2012 draft.
