DEXTER — Maine School Administrative District 46 pre-k and kindergarten registration for the 2015-2016 school year will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Ridge View Community School. A child must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, and children do not need to attend registration.

The following is required at registration: legal copy of birth certificate which can be obtained from the town office of the town/city lived in when the child was born or at the town office of the town/city of the hospital the child was born (A hospital birth certificate is no longer acceptable.), immunization record of child, proof of residency — a current document with name and current address, custody papers — a copy is needed if parents have been through the legal system for custody. (The parent registering must have primary residency of the child.)

To start pre-K a child must be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15. For kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15.
