READFIELD — First sergeant Jason R. Maddocks, of Readfield, recently retired from the Army and Army Reserve after 241/2 years of service.
During his career he served in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and an 18-month deployment to Iraq from 2003 to 2005.
He also was deployed on a four-month goodwill tour in Belize while stationed at Fort Carson, Colo.
He is the recipient of numerous awards and decorations including a Kuwait Liberation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, several Army Commendation Medals, Overseas Service ribbon, NCO Academy ribbon, National Defense and Good Conduct medals.
He resides in Readfield with his wife, Nicole, and three sons, Wyatt, Riley and Jared.
