WINSLOW — A Rome man was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning for treatment of minor injuries he suffered in a rollover accident on Cushman Road, police said.

Christopher J. Carron, 28, was traveling north and was making a U-turn when the snowy, slick road caused him to lose control of the vehicle and hit a tree, according to a news release from the Winslow Police Department.

Firefighters and police from Winslow were dispatched to the scene, and Carron, who was able to get out of the vehicle on his own, was taken to Inland Hospital in Waterville, according to the release.

No charges will be filed in the case.
