Two Somerset County men are facing charges of unlawful possession of sexually explicit material depicting a minor after state police investigators found child pornography on their computers, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
Jerome Ellis, 32, of Ridge Road in Fairfield, and Paul Frey III, 40, of Tropical Fish Road in Canaan, are each charged with one count of unlawful possession of sexually explicit material of a minor and were arrested March 11 in unrelated incidents, McCausland said.
He said pornography depicting children under the age of 12 was found on both men’s computers. None of the victims was from Maine.
“Typically these arrests are generated from a tip that comes into the computer crimes unit, and they follow up from there,” McCausland said.
