NEWCASTLE — Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association board and staff will host an appreciation dinner for the contributions of the organization’s volunteers. Soup to Cakes will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, at association’s offices at 624 Sheepscot Road.

The event will feature a soup cook-off. A number of soups will be available and attendees will have a chance to try each and then vote for their favorite. Beverages, sides and dessert will round out the meal. In addition, a fundraising cake walk with prizes of donated cakes is planned. Current and past volunteers and those interested in volunteering, are welcome. People are asked to RSVP by Monday, March 23, to participate and to enter a soup for the “Golden Ladle” award, or donate a cake for the cake walk.
