NEW LONDON, Conn. — The fifth-ranked Colby College women’s lacrosse team scored six of the game’s final seven goals to outlast Connecticut College 14-10 Saturday.

Abby Hatch had five goals and two assists for Colby (6-1, 3-1 New England Small College Athletic Conference), while Sara Miller finished with four goals and one assist.

Taylor Thomas paced the Camels (2-5, 0-3 NESCAC) with three goals.

THOMAS 13, NEW ENGLAND 10: Samantha Greenlaw and Jennifer Day sparked a streak of six unanswered goals late in the second half as the Terriers upended the Pilgrims in Henniker, N.H. Day led the way for Thomas with five goals and two assists.

CASTLETON 17, UMF 4: Rhi Jackson netted a pair of goals as the Beavers suffered a road loss against the Spartans.

MEN’S LACROSSE

COLBY 14, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 10: Kevin Seiler scored a pair of goals in a span of 20 seconds late in the second half to give the Mules the lead for good in a win over the Camels in Waterville.

NEW ENGLAND 16, THOMAS 1: Matt Richard netted four goals as the Pilgrims rolled the Terriers in Henniker, N.H. Colby Blondin had the lone goal for Thomas.

CASTLETON 23, UMF 0: Joseph Maldonado finished with 23 saves but it was not enough as the Spartans blitzed the Beavers in Castleton, Vt. The 23 stops were one short of the UMF program record.
