UNITY — Unity College is hosting an event about the effects of invasive species and land use on forests.

Professor Erika Latty will lead the event by presenting her work “Forest Response to Stress: The Effects of Invasive Species and Land Use.” She is an associated professor of botany at the college’s Center for Biodiversity. Her research focuses on human’s impact on forest ecosystems.

The event will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in room 204 of the Student Activities Center Parsons Wing. It is part of the college’s Fishbowl Talks series which focuses on the presentation of scholarly work.
