WATERVILLE — The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team put 66 shots and had eight different players score in a 20-5 win over Wheelock College on Thursday.

Bryan Ferris got the Terriers (3-7) on the board early with a goal 39 seconds into the game as Thomas opened the contest with seven unanswered scores. Ferris paced the Terriers with three goals, while Zac Crimmin and Parker Chute scored three each.

Donovan Riley Robinson led Wheelock (0-6) with three goals.

BASEBALL

HUSSON 3-1, THOMAS 2-0: The Terriers came out on the wrong end of a pair of one-run games in Bangor as the Eagles improved 12-0 in the North Atlantic Conference.

Husson (16-8, 12-0 NAC) scored the lone run in Game 1 with one out in the top of the third inning when Seth Freudenberger came home on a passed ball after leading off the inning with a double. Fairfield’s Isiah Fleming took the loss for Thomas (4-13, 2-6) despite tossing seven innings of five-hit ball with four strikeouts.

In the nightcap, Husson got an unearned run in the top of the fourth and got two more in the top of the following inning when Freudenberger and Ryan Rebar scored on an Andrew Curran single. Derek Kane had a triple and scored both Thomas runs, while Nik Beeson went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.
