AUGUSTA — Detectives with the Augusta Police Department are investigating a late-night break-in at The Red Barn restaurant, 455 Riverside Drive.

Sgt. Christian Behr said police responded to an alarm at the restaurant about 11 p.m. Wednesday and found a door open.

They immediately determined it was a break-in, but found no one when they searched the building. The owner was then contacted.

“It appears that they did not get anything although there was damage inside the business,” Behr said.

Detectives are following up on possible leads, he added.
