Is industry dead?

One would think so based on the Parade insert in the April 12 Sunday paper, which contained a snapshot of dozens of Americans, their occupations, and their annual pay.

As a young man working at a paper mill, it struck me as odd that I did not see a single carpenter, truck driver, plumber, electrician, machinist, welder, boiler operator, laborer, engineer, supervisor, woodsmen, farmer, or any other occupation that could be considered industrial.
