The Kennebec Valley YMCA recently held its annual meeting, an event intended for the board members, staff and members alike to take stock of and celebrate all the organization accomplished in 2014.

Among the many accomplishments of 2014, the Kennebec Valley YMCA celebrated 100 years of community outreach, service and engagement. In addition, 2014 also saw the completion of the fundraising “Grand Plan,” and the achievement of exceeding the annual fundraising goals, according to a YMCA news release.

Board President Harry Lanphear also presented awards in a number of categories, including the James Nicholas Volunteer of the Year Award, which was presented to Robert Deans; the Mike Seitzinger Director of the Year Award, presented to Mary Hammond; and the Harry Lanphear Employee of the Year Award, presented to Michael Griswold.
