April 21 was a pretty good day until I read a letter from Patrick Eisenhart, of Augusta, titled “Republicans good at disrupting government.” I am sure Eisenhart meant well by his comments to defend people he feels are unjustly treated and that the Republicans are on the wrong side of the street. His poor assessments seem to me to show that he is uninformed about world events and government overreach, and that he has a lack of respect for the U.S. Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

I recommend that Eisenhart and others who agree with his assessment and opinion do some research to be sure they understand how these people disrespect our system of government. My example is the president, who is going around Congress by using executive orders to do the job our elected congressional representatives must be held accountable for. That is unless they think Congress is not necessary, in which case they should remember the 1930s in Germany.
