FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Curtain Raisers Improv Comedy Troupe will welcome headliners, Providence Improv Guild at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the Mt. Blue Forum

After spending a day workshopping with the Curtain Raisers, audiences can experience a full set from these comic performers.

The members of PIG create unconventional characters and absurd stories from audience suggestions, ensuring that no two shows are alike. Fans of the Western Maine Improv Festival will see the familiar faces of Boom Scones’ Michael Amaral and Jimmy Sorrel, joined by fellow PIG players, Melissa Bowler and Jake Goldman.

Opening the evening will be the Mt. Blue Curtain Raisers, the high school improv comedy troupe nearing the end of its 14th season. Curtain Raisers will deliver a unique blend short improv games like those seen on “Whose Line Is It, Anyway?” and longer storytelling games developed by the Curtain Raisers themselves.

This show marks one of the last times audiences will be able to see the senior and exchange student members in action. Curtain Raisers members include Audrey Keith, Jonathan Lesko, Tommy Eng, Kayleigh Morin, Ike Libby, Allie Callahan, Park Laflin, Ben Luchini, Steven Minns, Jordan Kapiloff, Alex Gilbert, Roshan Luick, Sam McIntosh, Siti Afiqah Muhammed, Dan Lesko and Aaron Willingham.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the family of senior Mike Bennoch, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is battling the disease at Boston Children’s Hospital. Family friends have also created a GoFundMe page, “Please Help Mike.”

Suggested donation is $5 per person. For more information, contact Dan Ryder at 778-3561 or dryder@mtbluersd.org.
