AUGUSTA — Local people were sentenced Tuesday in separate hearings in Kennebec County Superior and Augusta District courts and the Kennebec Unified Criminal docket held at the Capital Judicial Center:

• William Lee Austin, 27, of Augusta, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer Jan. 29 in Augusta; 10-day jail sentence.

• Brian M. Baker, 36, of Randolph, theft Feb. 8 in Augusta; $500 fine.

• Nicholaus G. Billings, 34, of Gardiner, operating under the influence Feb. 10 in Gardiner; $750 fine, 150-day license suspension.

• Ryan J. Gamage, 28, of Owls Head, operating after habitual-offender revocation and violating condition of release March 4 in Windsor; one-year jail sentence, $1,000 fine.

• Dwight J. Sanborn, 30, of Fairfield, unlawful possession of scheduled drug and refusing to submit to arrest or detention, refusing to stop Dec. 24, 2014, in Chelsea; 10-day jail sentence, credit for 10 days served, $400 fine, $120 restitution.

• David R. Strain, 31, of Augusta, assault Nov. 17, 2014, and terrorizing March 5, both in Augusta; 364-day jail sentence, all but 75 days suspended, credit for 75 days served, one-year probation, $500 fine.

• Jeffery Witham, 44, of Sidney, criminal trespass and assault Feb. 25 in Oakland; 364-day jail sentence, all but 10 days suspended, one-year probation, $300 fine.
