Navy Petty Officer 1st Class James Hills, son of Bruce and Teresa Hills, of Solon, has been named Paralegal of the Year by the National Federation of Paralegal Associations at their convention in Dallas, Texas.

This award recognizes an individual NFPA member whose on-the-job achievements have contributed to expansion of the paralegal profession, including contributions to his or her employer and colleagues and the paralegal profession in general.

Hills, a graduate of Carrabec High School and Roger Williams University, is a member of the legal staff of the Commander, Carrier Strike Group 11, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz based in Everett, Washington.
