The Hallowell Memorial Day Parade on Monday will feature Civil War re-enactors representing the 3rd Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment, according to Dick Hawkins, of Goodrich-Caldwell American Legion Post 6.

The 60 re-enactors will represent soldiers from the Augusta area who served from 1861 to 1864. The parade, which will begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Legion post on Second Street, also will feature a color guard, the Hall-Dale High School Band, uniformed military members and others. The parade will go from Second Street, to Temple Street, to Water Street and end at the Civil War monument in the city cemetery.

At the cemetery, city and state officials will hold ceremonies at the monument and in nearby Legion Park.
