Worcester Polytechnic Institute
WORCESTER, Mass. — The following local residents were among 1,166 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute named to the university’s 2015 spring semester dean’s list:
Andrew Leonard, of Augusta, a senior majoring in electrical and computer engineering; Ryanne Dailey, of Carthage, a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering; and Haley Hayden, of Hartland, a senior majoring in chemical engineering.
The criteria for the WPI dean’s Llist differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade-point average. Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects, according to a news release from the institute.
