BANGOR — Police say a woman was arrested in connection with two stabbings at the Bangor Mall that appear to be random.
Two women were stabbed in their shoulders in separate incidents Tuesday morning.
Both were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victims did not know the suspect.
Police arrested Elizabeth Ellis, 34, in the afternoon. She’s facing two counts of aggravated assault. She was being held at the Penobscot County Jail and it was not immediately known if she was being represented by an attorney.
Anyone who was at the mall between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and may have witnessed anything related to the case is asked to call the Bangor Police Department at 947-7384.
