Bruce Bourgoine and Chris Sammons have earned my vote for Readfield selectmen.
I served on the Readfield Board of Selectmen for nine years (1986-1995), eight as chairman. I’m now in my 10th year on the school board.
A qualified candidate for Select Board must have common sense, civility, the ability to listen and a willingness to take the views of others into account. They must share the principle that the collective wisdom of the board is greater than that of any individual member.
Who is unqualified? He who enters service believing he has all of the answers and that intimidation is the best way to convince others.
Readfield works best when it works together. Bruce and Chris share that vision and are well qualified. I hope that others also will vote for them.
