SOUTH CHINA — Jacob Houghton scored four goals and three assists to lead the Winslow boys lacrosse team past Erskine 15-12 in an Eastern B game Thursday afternoon.

Jimmy Fowler and Davis Selwood scored a pair of goals for the Raiders as well. Fowler also had four assists.

Trevor Browne scored five goals and Max Pacholski added three to lead Erskine.


HALL-DALE 12, BOOTHBAY 1: Cole Lockhart pitched a complete game, allowing just one run, and the Bulldogs broke open a close game with an eight-run fourth inning to secure the Mountain Valley Conference victory.

Bobby Cumler, Sam Moulton and Brian Allen all doubled for Hall-Dale (11-5).


VALLEY 11, RANGELEY 0: Cody Laweryson struck out 11 and allowed just two hits to lead the Cavaliers in Rangeley. Laweryson didn’t walk a hitter, either. Nathan Ames and Brandon Thomas each had two singles for Valley (8-6) as well.

Rangeley dropped to 3-9.

ERSKINE 6, MORSE 3: Zack Isbell drove in two runs as Erskine defeated Morse in Bath.

Cody Beaudoin threw six strong innings to get the win, allowing two runs on just one hit while walking three, hitting a batter and fanning two. Ryan Rodrigue closed it out in the seventh for the Eagles (10-6). Eight different batters got hits for the Eagles.


ERSKINE 16, MORSE 2: Avery Bond had two doubles and a single, and Amber Grady also doubled as the Eagles cruised to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B victory in Bath. Erskine (9-7) scored eight runs in the top of the first to put the game out of reach.


Mallory Chamberlain struck out three and allowed just four hits to earn the victory.

OAK HILL 24, WISCASSET 0: Makayla Nadeau doubled and tripled to lead the Raiders in an MVC game at Wiscasset. Grace Sabine also had two doubles for Oak Hill (9-7).

Wiscasset finished the season 1-15.

HALL-DALE 13, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 innings: Olivia Maynard struck out five batters in the circle and smacked a double to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Seahawks.

Becca Ackerson had two doubles for Hall-Dale (14-2). Emma Begin added two hits.

Boothbay falls to 4-12.



WINSLOW 11, ERSKINE 7: Cassidy Roderick led all scorers with five goals as Winslow toppled Erskine.

Sabrina Jandreau added a pair of goals while Harley Fitch made 10 saves for the Black Raiders (7-5). Christina Hodgkins and Katelyn Darveau each had two goals for the Eagles (1-11), while Malorie Weaver had 14 saves.

CONY 15, OXFORD HILLS 10: Becca Conniff, Erin Alexander and Hilary Tyler each scored three goals to lead Cony in the regular season finale.

Katelyn Bilodeau scored two goals while Christina Claudel, Mary Kirschner, Anne Brannigan and Sarah Caron also found the back of the net for the Rams (1-11).

Oxford Hills finished 2-11.


MT. ARARAT 4, CONY 1: Sam Glusker and Sean Tenney picked up a doubles victory but it wasn’t enough to prevent Cony from being eliminated from the Eastern A tennis tournament.

Glusker and Tenney defeated Joey Reed and Leo Mederos, 6-4, 6-4 in the second doubles match. Vic Mathieu led the Eagles (12-1) to a sweep in the singles matches with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Robbie Buck. Cony finishes 6-7.
