Caitlin Phillips recently graduated summa cum laude from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine as valedictorian of the class of 2015. She earned her bachelor of science degree in communications — new media, with a minor in fine arts. Phillips achieved dean’s list status each semester and was chosen to be included in the 2014 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

During her junior year, Phillips was inducted into the Beta Omicron Chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma, a National Scholastic Honor Society and served as the chapter’s Vice President her senior year. She also spent her senior year serving as the Harold Alfond Center’s social media intern and spent her 2015 spring break in Barcelona, Spain, studying art and architecture.

Phillips was the 2015 recipient of the Sister Mary Delores Sablone Award for academic excellence in communications. In relation to her field of study, she is looking forward to a career in graphic Design.

Phillips is a 2011 graduate of Gardiner Area High School and is the daughter of Michael and Donna Phillips, of Gardiner.
