WORCESTER, Mass. — The largest graduating class in Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s history, 1,680 students, received their degrees during its 147th commencement exercises.
The following local residents recently graduated from WPI:
Samara Garcia, of Clinton, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering with distinction.
Kristen Brann, of Oakland, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science with distinction.
Justin Rice, of Oakland, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical and computer engineering with distinction.
Harry Lanphear, of Manchester, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering with high distinction.
Jason Luong, of Fairfield, Maine, earned a master of science degree in mechanical engineering.
Brian Gardner, of Windsor, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in physics.
Dylan Pinnette, of Topsham, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering.
Elliott Wiegman, of Leeds, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering.
Haley Hayden, of Hartland, Maine, earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering with high distinction.
Doran Smestad, of Corinna, Maine, earned a master of science degree in computer science.
