The Alfond Municipal Pool in Waterville opened this week and city residents took advantage, as kids of all ages and parents went swimming, sliding and lounged in the sunshine.
The pool is open Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 7 p.m. and weekend days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a fee is charged for use for both city residents and nonresidents.
It opened Saturday and is open through Sunday, Aug. 23.
