WATERVILLE — Central Maine Power is planning traffic disruptions on Interstate 95 Wednesday morning during the installation of new utility poles and distribution lines.

The disruptions are scheduled to take place between midnight and 5 a.m. Wednesday near exit 130 in both the northbound and southbound lanes, according to a press release from Central Maine Power. Rolling roadblocks will be in place to stop traffic for no more than 10 minutes at a time, according to the release.

Traffic lights will also be disabled and flaggers will be controlling traffic on upper Main Street while the work is done.

“This project will leave the Waterville area with a more robust and flexible electric delivery system,” Gail Rice, a spokeswoman for CMP, said in the release. “Best of all, we expect to complete this upgrade with no service disruption to customers.”
