LEWISTON — Franklin broke open a close game with a seven-run outburst in the top of the seventh inning to score a 12-3 win over Pastime in American Legion action Monday.

Anthony Franchetti had a triple and a single in the win, while Ryan and Andrew Pratt each notched a pair of singles for Franklin (8-1). Colton Lawrence went six innings before giving way to Evan Roberts to earn the pitching win.

Pastime falls to 6-4

BREWER 1, POST 51 0: Brewer (6-3) scored the game’s lone run in the bottom of the first inning as Jack Corey outdueled Post 51 (5-3) starter Cody Martin in a game played at Brewer.

Matt Pushard had two hits, including a double, in the win. Zach Mathieu clubbed a double for Post 51.
