FARMINGTON — A delegation from U.S. Sen. Angus King’s office will be at the Farmington Public Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to meet with people, hear their concerns and answer questions.

Begun by King in 2013, the Your Government Your Neighborhood program closed some standing offices in order to send delegations throughout the state monthly in hopes of reaching those who otherwise might not have been able to go to an office. At the time, King added that the extra benefit to the taxpayer would be money saved by ending leases on offices.

“Maine’s Congressional delegation has always prided itself on providing the best constituent services,” King said when he began the program. “My goal is not only to continue that longstanding tradition, but to enhance it by introducing this new concept, which will allow us to be in more communities throughout the state. I’m excited by the great potential this opportunity holds and look forward to continuing to offer exceptional service to more Mainers than ever before.”
