SKOWHEGAN — Deputy Police Chief Don Bolduc was working patrol Saturday when he was approached by Andrew Flagg, according to a narrative posted Sunday on the Skowhegan Police Department’s Facebook page.

Flagg, 33, of Hartland, “had a desire to tell Deputy Chief Bolduc about a shed he had burgled at the Rec Center,” according to the narrative.

“Since sometimes people admit to things they didn’t commit for whatever reason, prior to taking any enforcement action, Bolduc went to the Rec Center and found that a shed had in fact been burgled,” the narrative continued.

In addition to entering the structure, Flagg had decided to take a golf club and use it to smash up items around the Rec Center, according to the Facebook post.

Flagg was interviewed again on Sunday following the discovery that what he said he did had in fact happened.

Flagg was arrested and taken to Somerset County Jail on charges of burglary, criminal attempt, theft and criminal mischief.

“If anybody else out there wishes to cleanse their soul by admitting to burglaries, drug possession, or any other shenanigan please give us a call,” the Facebook post reads.
