Southbound traffic on Interstate 295 in Yarmouth stalled Monday morning following a crash near exit 17.

A single car left the road at about 9:30 a.m. and hit the wire guardrail, coming to rest in the median, police said.

The wreck backed up southbound traffic for almost two miles but had been cleared by 11 a.m.

Nobody was injured.
