The Waterville Housing Authority is not an ordinary low-income rental agency. The housing authority, which was my employer for 40 years, is an asset to the community and provides a great service to its residents.

The office staffers greet clients with bright, friendly smiles and offers to help. They show compassion while they are trying to assist their clients, quickly providing any information that is needed. The Section 8 HCV staff is phenomenal. This group knows how to treat people with respect and dignity, and staffers go above and beyond to help people reach their needs. They not only deal with the tenants but also can serve as a mediator between landlords and tenants.

Members of the group working behind the scenes in the maintenance department are a credit to their job. They handle the work they perform professionally and diligently. When a call comes in to the office from a tenant, a work order immediately gets sent out and the work is usually completed that day. During the winter, they work long hours making the building’s parking lots and walkways accessible for all. The maintenance staff provides excellent service and beautiful rental units for the residents. They know how to get things done and are a great asset to the housing authority.

The buildings that the housing authority owns are attractive, well-maintained and well-managed. They have programs set up for the residents to get together and and provide a wonderful environment for all to live and be thankful for.
