Zikowitz promoted to rank of Major

Army Capt. Andrew Zikowitz was promoted to the rank of Major on June 29 during a ceremony in Readfield. Lt. Col. Shane Morgan, from Elliot, visited from Washington, DC, and presided over the promotion.

Major Zikowitz spent the last three years stationed at the United States Military Academy at West Point. His next assignment is attending the Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
